ExpressionEngine 2.4 Released

ExpressionEngine 2.4 is a very significant release that fixes a large number of small but important issues for both developers and site administrators.

From a list of more than 80 items, here are the top three that I think will be the most valuable to my clients. 

• Fixed a bug (#16814) where the Datepicker would not allow AM to be manually typed into the field.
• Fixed a bug (#16328) where times could shift by one minute when creating or editing an entry.
• Fixed a bug (#17160) where uploaded files and generated thumbnails had the wrong permissions applied.

Since a fair majority of you are maintaining some kind of event catalog, the "one minute shift" bug should come as a huge relief!  That bug was old, too, having been around since before version 1.6.  Good riddance!
