How much fortitude does it take to have your website professionally reworked when your entire industry is on the brink of collapse? I have no idea but I'm betting it takes quite a lot!

It took a large, inter-disciplinary team to put this site together. We at Joe's Media were responsible for turning the design into code and implementing it in the content management system (CMS).

The content management system, Cobalt Nitra, is actually an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for automotive dealerships so hosting websites is only one part of it's job. Though it presents enormous challenges for developers we are extremely proud of what we accomplished with this site.

If you are thinking of tackling a project in Cobalt Nitra, here are a few of the challenges we faced on this project:

• All of the styling had to be put in-line with the HTML because we did not have access to stylesheets.
• The site is laid out in tables and spacing is not consistent from one page to the next.
• There are a fixed number of "pages" you may create.
• URI segments are pre-determied and may not be changed.
• Validating a blank page - before you add any content - will yield dozens to hundreds of errors.

In spite of it all, the site looks pretty darn good and the search engines are happy with it!
